Camp Counselor

Job Title:

Camp Counselor Job Purpose Provide group supervision of campers Enhance the camp experience while demonstrating leadership skills and attention to detail for the campers' health, happiness, discipline, cleanliness, safety, character and skill development Operations Lead and organize activities, encouraging full camper participation Safely escort campers between activities Supervise lunch, promoting good manners Monitor swimming as required Ensure camper health, safety, and overall well-being Communicate and enforce safety guidelines Implement emergency procedures and provide basic first aid when necessary Take daily attendance and maintain accurate supervision at all times Work collaboratively, supporting fellow counselors and fostering a positive environment Complete daily responsibilities and other assigned duties Department Strategy and Communication Attend weekly meetings after camp to discuss any issues and brainstorm new ideas for the following week Attend department applicable training sessions Be knowledgeable of other club departments, programs and events, demonstrating a commitment to embracing the neighborhood Communicate with parents, members and club staff, ensuring that everyone is certain that we care about their well-being Professional and Technical Knowledge Complete all Club Fit Compliance training in 1

Huddle:

o ERP/ Blood Borne Pathogen/ Sexual Harassment Prevention Training/ Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Training, Cyber Security Training Professional Certification o CPR AED a plus, but not required Education and Experience Experience working with children in a sports clinic or academic capacity a plus Teamwork Demonstrate accountability, responsibility and attention to detail for work Maintain a positive attitude toward Club Fit and fellow staff Be punctual for all scheduled shifts or arrange for coverage and inform manager and other staff members accordingly Wear uniform, including club-issued shirt and name tag Exceptional Staff Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle in a Unique Environment Acknowledge members and provide timely and efficient service with a smile, always providing genuine hospitality Maintain a positive and caring relationship with members, colleagues, managers, and other Club Fit staff Job Requirements Ability to: Stand and walk around for extended periods of time Lift 10 lbs Understand and communicate both verbally and written in English Follow job related directions Work a flexible schedule as required by business needs Understand and comply with all company safety policies and their requirements Reporting Structure Direct Line to Sports Director
