Recreation Assistant {perfect for college students who drive, 2nd Job}

Summary:

The Recreation Assistant supports individuals in community and recreational settings by helping lead activities that build life skills, social skills, and independence in a fun and engaging environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist with recreational activities, outings, and events Support participant engagement and safety Set up and clean activity spaces and equipment Complete basic documentation and reports Help with outreach and community events Follow agency policies and maintain confidentiality

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Creative, energetic, and dependable Valid NYS Driver's License required Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus

Job Requirements:

Travel throughout the tristate area may be required Active role involving walking, outings, and recreational activities Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Hourly position with shifts ranging from 2-8 hours
