Job Description

Summer Camp Counselors Camp Counselor Camp Counselors provide a fun, supportive, and welcoming atmosphere where campers can develop an appreciation for the environment, practice positive socialization with peers, and gain a better understanding of science in nature. This person must be a good role model for campers, develop relationships with each camper within their group, promote positive group interaction, follow established procedures for maintaining campers' health and safety, work together with other staff to plan and schedule weekly activities, and other related duties as directed by the Camp Director. Counselors are also responsible for minimal required paperwork, such as first aid logs, fire drill logs, and carrying camper medical forms. Lead counselors will spend two weeks of training planning and preparing activities for the full summer. Camp runs 9a-3p daily.
Job Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age to apply
  • Energy and enthusiasm for long days
  • Desire to work with children outdoors
  • Ability to accept guidance and supervision
  • Prior experience working with children required
  • Environmental or education background preferred
  • Must be able to provide proof of MMR vaccination, titer okay Must be able to work Monday-Friday, 8a-4p from June 16th-August 22nd with a mandatory two-week training period from June 16th-June 27th.
Compensation:
$17.00
