Pay Range:
$3,500 - $4,500 (seasonal) Position Overview The Play Place is seeking energetic, responsible, and enthusiastic Seasonal Summer Camp Counselors to join our summer team. Counselors play a vital role in creating a fun, safe, and engaging camp experience for children through active play, sports, creative activities, and teamwork. This is a seasonal commitment , ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are ready to be positive role models all summer long. Key Responsibilities Supervise and engage children in daily camp activities, including sports, games, arts & crafts, and outdoor play Ensure the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all campers at all times Lead group activities with energy, confidence, and professionalism Assist with transitions, snack/lunch times, and daily routines Communicate clearly and respectfully with campers, teammates, and supervisors Follow all camp policies, procedures, and safety protocols Maintain a positive, team-first attitude throughout the summer Required Qualifications Must be at least 16 years of age CPR & First Aid certification required (must be current or obtained before start date) Ability to commit to 6-10 weeks of employment Mandatory availability for the final 3 weeks of camp Strong reliability, punctuality, and professionalism Comfortable working with children in an active environment Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team Preferred Skills & Experience Prior experience working with children, camps, sports, or recreational programs High energy, positive attitude, and leadership skills Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Compensation Seasonal pay range: $3,500 - $4,500 , based on experience, availability, and role responsibilities Paid as a seasonal position for the full camp term Why Work at The Play Place?
