Summer Camp Counselor

Job Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an exciting summer camp experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for campers. You will be responsible for supervising activities, fostering positive relationships with campers, and ensuring their well-being throughout the camp experience. Duties Supervise and engage with campers during various activities including sports, arts and crafts, and outdoor adventures. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote teamwork, creativity, and personal growth. Ensure the safety of all campers by adhering to camp policies and procedures. Provide guidance and support to campers in developing new skills and building confidence. Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members to foster a positive camp community. Assist in managing camper behavior through effective classroom management techniques. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the camp facilities and equipment. Skills Ideal candidates should possess the following skills: Babysitting experience or childcare background is highly valued. First aid certification is a plus. Experience working with students or children in various settings. Knowledge of childhood development principles to support camper growth. Background in theater or performing arts to enhance creative activities. Sports coaching skills to lead physical activities effectively. Early childhood education experience is beneficial for working with younger campers. Strong classroom management abilities to maintain a positive environment.
