Camp Counselor (Seasonal)

Summer Counselor/Recreational Position Details ~Candidate should enjoy working with children from 1st thru 8th grades ~Willingness to share their talents, be eager to add energy and enthusiasm to our program ~Supervise children and ensure their safety, development, growth, & well-being ~Participate in mandatory trainings prior to the start of program ~Work co-operatively with other staff to ensure success of program ~Organize and lead small/large group activities ~Responsible for set up, clean up and preparations for activities/events ~Responsible for daily attendance, maintaining group schedule for the day ~Plan and implement programs for children Counselor Skills Enjoy being in the company of children Alertness Communication skills Patience Problem-solving skills Caring personality Education and Experience Requirements Prior experience in camp, youth programs, recreational setting with children recommended 18+ with High School Diploma; college preferred Must be available from mid- June until August 7, 2026 CPR/First Aid Certified PLUS Valid NYS Drivers License PLUS (not required)
