PRN Summer Camp Counselor Saint Louis University | Earth, Wind, and Water Camp Program
Position Summary
Saint Louis University seeks an attentive and mission-driven Overnight Summer Camp Counselor to support our Earth, Wind, and Water summer program. This PRN/on-call role is responsible for the supervision, safety, and well-being of campers during evening and overnight hours, while fostering a positive, inclusive residential experience.
Key Responsibilities
Provide continuous overnight supervision to ensure camper safety and well-being
Support positive cabin dynamics and a respectful, inclusive environment
Guide evening routines, including meals, hygiene, and rest preparation
Collaborate with the Camp Director and fellow counselors to support daily operations
Facilitate safe, engaging, age-appropriate activities
Enforce camp expectations and resolve conflicts with care and fairness
Follow emergency protocols and support camper health and dietary needs
Serve as a positive mentor and role model
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong communication, judgment, and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and responsive in dynamic situations
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with youth in camp, education, or recreation settings
CPR/First Aid certification Function
