Activities Assistant Almost Home Afterschool Program Shames JCC on the Hudson | Tarrytown, NY Build Your Resume. Make an Impact. Have Fun. Are you studying Education, Psychology, Child Development, Social Work, Recreation, or a related field? This is the perfect opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with elementary-aged children in a structured afterschool program while developing skills that future employers and graduate programs value. As an Activities Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced educators while gaining real-world experience in: Classroombehavior management Child engagement Lesson support Leadershipcommunication Time management Teamwork Schedule Monday-Friday | 2:00-6:00 PM Follows the TarrytownIrvington school calendars Approximately 180 days per school year Paid orientation, required training, and scheduled early dismissal days What You'll Do Support fun enrichment classes including Sports, Art, STEAM, MusicMovement, Potpourri, and Homework. Assist with classroom management and student engagement. Set up and clean up activities. Serve snack and prepare materials. Help create a safe, positive, and welcoming environment. Work alongside a supportive team to deliver an exceptional afterschool experience.
