Job Description
Job Summary Sunrise Day Camp is seeking a creative and passionate Social Media Coordinator to join our summer staff and help share the magic of camp with the world. This role is perfect for someone who loves storytelling, has a strong eye for content, and wants to use their digital skills to make a real difference in the lives of children with cancer and their siblings. As Social Media Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of camp life — capturing meaningful moments and amplifying our mission across social platforms in a way that is authentic, uplifting, and community-driven. Responsibilities Manage and post content across Sunrise Day Camp's social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) Capture photos and short-form video throughout the camp day to document programs, activities, and camper experiences Draft engaging captions and stories that reflect our mission and community Maintain a consistent posting schedule and brand voice across all channels Collaborate with camp leadership to highlight key events, staff spotlights, and donor/community messaging Monitor comments and messages, flagging anything that requires a response from leadership Ensure all content involving campers adheres to privacy guidelines and photo release protocols
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
Experience managing social media accounts (personal, organizational, or professional) Strong photography and/or videography skills, with comfort editing on mobile (CapCut, Reels editor, etc.) Excellent written communication and storytelling ability A warm, mission-aligned perspective when representing the camp publicly Reliability, discretion, and sensitivity when working in a medical/pediatric environment A background in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field is a plus — but not requiredCamp Dates & Training:
