QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma Approved Background Check Pupil Activity Supervisor Permit Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
REPORTS TO
Athletic Director
JOB GOAL
To supervise and coordinate activities of freshman, reserve, or varsity cheerleaders
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Attend all cheerleading practices on school grounds. Accountable for all cheerleaders' meetings, necessary requirements pertaining to insurance, physical cards, eligible forms, and athletic waivers. Attend and supervise athletic events in which cheerleaders participate. Work with A.D. to coordinate cheerleading activities with other athletic events or with money making projects. Organize an impartial and fair system of selecting new cheerleaders. Work with cheerleaders in determining need for new uniforms or other accessories that might be essential and make recommendations to the Athletic Director. Assist with other events closely related to cheerleading (e.g. pep assemblies, bonfires, raffles, etc.). Attend and/or participate in awards program. Attend local and/or state cheerleader conferences as approved.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary and work year as established by the Board and terms of the negotiated contract.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job is evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on and provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
ADDITIONAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue. Excellent observation and communication skills May perform strenuous tasks, such as lifting, when working with students. Assisting students with behavioral/management needs Frequent evening and/or weekend work
