Student Worker Fitness Center AttendantSummer 2026 Purpose/Objective of the

Role:

The OWU Athletics Department is looking to hire 5 Fitness Center Attendants.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

This position serves as the primary customer service representative for the Simpson-Querrey Fitness Center and/or Morrill Strength & Conditioning Room and is responsible for: Greeting and welcoming members/guests with a smile and friendly attitude.

Upholding, enforcing and clearly communicating rules and regulations of fitness center.

Performing duties at desks; including, but not limited to checking IDs to ensure proper patron access to facility, rental of recreational equipment, and maintaining user counts.

Monitoring, organizing and cleaning the fitness center (including workspace); maintaining a presentable environment for users.

Performing laundry of towels, as well as re-filling equipment cleaning bottles.

Attending any required meetings or training sessions.

Regular attendance of assigned shifts.

Qualifications:

Must be able to work mornings, nights or weekends.

Must possess the physical ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Previous customer service experience preferred.

NOTE:
