Job Description

The Evening CDCA is responsible for supporting client care, maintaining a safe and structured environment, and assisting with daily program operations. Duties include, but are not limited to: Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, staff, and visitors by monitoring premises, conducting routine patrols, and observing client behavior Monitor facility access, surveillance systems, alarms, and building conditions; report any irregularities or safety concerns immediately Support admissions staff with new client intake and orientation in accordance with program policies and procedures Ensure clients remain on schedule for meals, groups, therapy sessions, meetings, and appointments Co-facilitate psychoeducational groups and may lead meditation groups Supervise clients during recreational and leisure activities, ensuring engagement and adherence to program guidelines Support staff in enforcing program rules and maintaining accountability in accordance with client handbooks Assist with urinalysis collection and breathalyzer testing in compliance with policies and procedures Accurately document client interactions, incidents, and observations in the EHR system to ensure continuity of care Communicate effectively with team members regarding client behavior, concerns, and progress Qualifications Active CDCA (Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant) certification required High school diploma or equivalent required Experience working with mental health and/or substance use disorder populations preferred Basic computer skills for documentation and communication Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills Ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Current TB test
