Job Description

Activity Assistant Are you a creative, innovative, friendly, and diligent individual who loves working with the geriatric population? Do you thrive off of putting smiles on others' faces? Primary Responsibilities Assist the Activity Coordinator with the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the activities department. Co-plan and perform regularly scheduled activities and/or life skills activities, ensuring a high level of resident engagement and satisfaction. Maintain an acceptable level of inventory to perform all activities, ensuring a seamless experience for residents. Ensure the completion of all tasks and functions while prioritizing resident safety above all else. Coordinate the posting of all activities, promoting transparency and resident awareness. Maintain all areas for activities within the community in a safe and neat manner, promoting a welcoming environment. Accompany residents on outings as assigned by the Activity Coordinator, fostering socialization and community building. May be responsible for driving residents to appointments and outings using our community shuttle bus, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience. May be required to assist residents getting on and off the bus, utilizing the appropriate and safest mode for assistance, including lift, ambulation, and physical transfer. Present a professional appearance and dress, reflecting positively on the community. Maintain a positive attitude that supports team performance and productivity, contributing to a collaborative work environment.
