Summer Camp Counselor

Job Summary We are seeking enthusiastic and organized Summer Camp Counselors to join our team. The Summer Camp Counselor plays a key role in providing a safe, engaging, and memorable camp experience for the children. Counselors are responsible for supervising campers, facilitating daily activities, and creating a supportive environment that promotes personal growth, teamwork, and fun. Duties Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of a group of campers at all times. Lead and actively participate in a variety of indoor and outdoor camp activities including sports, arts & crafts, nature walks, swimming, team games, and field trips. Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment among campers and staff. Respond appropriately to camper behavior and conflicts, following camp policies and procedures. Assist in daily set-up and clean-up of camp spaces and equipment. Communicate regularly with other staff, parents (when needed), and camp leadership. Serve as a role model by demonstrating high standards of integrity, responsibility, and enthusiasm. Handle and distribute Lunch/Snack foods for the campers. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. Experience working with children in a recreational or educational setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with food service operations is encouraged, but not required Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with campers of all ages. A positive attitude, creativity, and a passion for creating memorable experiences are essential traits for success in this role. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and maintain energy throughout the day. Must pass background check and attend mandatory pre-camp meeting.
