Description of Job Duties Job Summary:
The Graduate Assistant (GA) will support both the daily operations of the Wellness Center and be the primary point of contact with all Intramural Sports throughout the school year. The GA will gain valuable professional and educational experience that prepares them for future full-time employment in their chosen field. These tasks are to be performed in a manner that professionally, cordially, and efficiently assists students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Description of Job Duties:
Assist with daily tasks in the Wellness Center. Provide coverage for the Wellness Center Manager. Maintain a welcoming and professional environment for all visitors. Lead the Intramural sports programs, including event scheduling, coordination and participant engagement. Assist with Wellness Center event set-up and activities during the day, after hours, and weekend events. Help manage facility operations, equipment, and scheduling. Promote wellness initiatives and encourage student, faculty, and staff participation. Assist with inventory management of all sports equipment, jerseys, weight room equipment and exercise machines. Respond to inquiries from students, faculty, and staff in a professional and timely manner. Other duties as assigned.
Terms of Employment:
Part-time, temporary position. Reports to the Wellness Center Manager. Safety and job-related training will be completed as instructed. Eligible to receive a tuition waiver each semester and a stipend.
Education and Experience Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree completed. Enrolled in graduate study program at SWOSU and working in field of study. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Anticipated Start Date 6/15/2026 Location Weatherford Employment Type Exempt
