Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Wildlife Images Camp EEK Counselor, where your enthusiasm for nature, education, and working with children will inspire young explorers to discover the wonders of wildlife and the environment. In this engaging role, you will lead outdoor activities, facilitate educational programs, and foster a safe, inclusive, and fun camp atmosphere. Your energetic approach will help nurture curiosity, promote conservation awareness, and create memorable experiences for campers of all backgrounds. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for wildlife, education, and youth development in a vibrant camp setting. Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead groups of up to 15 campers (ages 5-11)
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate educational sessions focused on wildlife, conservation, and rehabilitation
  • Facilitate hands-on activities, games, crafts, and outdoor exploration
  • Ensure camper safety at all times, following all organizational policies
  • Maintain positive behavior management and inclusive group dynamics
  • Communicate effectively with co-counselors, camp leadership, and families
  • Assist with daily camp setup, cleanup, and animal-related educational demonstrations (as appropriate)
  • Serve as a positive role model for campers _____________________________________________________________________ Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a current Pediatric First Aid & CPR certification
  • Cleared background check through Oregon's (CBR)
  • Completion of Oregon's mandatory online trainings for individuals working with children and enrollment in the Oregon Registry Online (ORO)
  • Experience supervising and managing groups of children in active outdoor settings

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working outdoors in heat, rain, and variable weather conditions
Requirements and Compensation Training Period:
Your initial employment period will depend on your abilities to learn and execute required tasks with a reasonable expected length of time. We will provide you with all the necessary training and materials to complete the required daily tasks with confidence.
Full time:
40 hours per week
Schedule Agreement:
June 15th- August 21st, 2026 M-F 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Pay Period:
Employees are paid every 2 week
Benefits:
This is a seasonal position and does not offer benefits
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
