Job Description

Job Title:
Camp RISES -
Counselor Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervise campers in both indoor and outdoor play Plan and implement activities throughout each camp day Encourage all campers to participate in all activities Maintain a safe environment for all campers and staff Ensure campers are behaving appropriately in accordance with the RISES values (Reverence, Integrity, Service, Excellence, and Stewardship) Communicate effectively with administrative staff Impart the spirit of St. Francis through respect for all persons and things, and by a search for truth in daily interactions and situations Witness to a deep sense of professionalism in dress, speech, and manners As a visible agent of Neumann University, uphold the highest standards of conduct, attitude, appearance, and confidentiality
Qualities:
Enjoy working with children, prior experience is recommended Enjoy participating in outdoor activities such as hiking and games Be able to maintain an energetic disposition through a full day of camp Be organized, calm, dependable, self-sufficient, a team player, and a problem solver
Requirements:
Be 18 years of age or older Have a High School diploma or equivalent Be able to pass the following background checks: PA Child Abuse History Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History FBI Criminal History Be willing to be First Aid and CPR Certified during pre-camp Be able to perform a variety of tasks outside in various weather conditions Be able to lift and carry 35lbs
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
Mandatory Pre-Camp Training:
June 8 - June 12
Camp Dates:
June 15 - August 21 (no camp on July 3) Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until all the counselor positions are filled.
