Summer Camp Counselor

Summer Camp Counselor Briarwood Day Camp Working at Briarwood is the best summer job you'll ever have! We are interviewing for senior counselors to work with our campers who vary in age from 3-15. You'll work with kids, you'll be outside, you'll be challenged, you'll have responsibility and you'll have FUN. Interested applicants should apply at https://www.briarwooddaycamp.com/staff/. Please DO NOT apply via email or through the indeed.com portal. Our senior counselors are aged 18 or older and have been out of high school for at least one year. We have two types of positions: bunk counselors and specialists. Bunk counselors spend their day with a group of one age and sex of children. Bunk counselors are responsible for the general welfare of the children, behavior management and participation at all activities during the day as well as at lunch. Bunk counselors assist specialists at activities like art, ceramics, gymnastics, sports, archery, rock wall and the pool when their campers go to those activities. Specialists work at activities like the ones described above and get to work with a wide variety of kids. Lifeguards must be Red Cross certified. Camp begins Monday, June 22 and ends Friday, August 14. The camp day is Monday-Friday from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. We are closed Friday, July 3. Additionally, there will be orientation / staff training meetings before camp begins. All senior counselors must provide their own transportation to and from camp which is located in Furlong, Bucks County, PA. Briarwood is not close to any public transit. All staff must obtain background clearances in accordance with Pennsylvania law (we can explain how to do that).
