Monday-Friday, 2:45-6:00 PM (arrive 1 hour early)

Program Manager Mission & Values Dragon's Den is a nonprofit youth development center in Homestead, PA, dedicated to helping young people embrace life with courage, joy, and passion on their journey to becoming successful adults and outstanding citizens. Our mission is to provide a safe, welcoming space where all children—especially those at risk or with disabilities—can learn, grow, and thrive through hands-on experiences, creativity, and community connection. Housed in the beautifully restored former St. Mary Magdalene Church, our unique setting features a state-of-the-art ropes course, after-school programs, summer camps, team-building workshops, and enrichment activities built around our five pillars: Physical Health, Nutrition, Academics, STEAM, and Mental Health. Guided by our values of inclusivity, empowerment, and excellence, we work to ensure every child feels supported, challenged, and inspired. Position Summary The Lead Instructor•Enrichment & Activities designs and delivers engaging activities aligned with Dragon's Den's pillars, ensures all program materials are prepared and organized, and fosters active participation from students in a safe and welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities Lead daily after-school activities that align with our four program pillars: STEAM, Academics, Nutrition, and Physical Activity. Prepare all materials and supplies in advance; maintain inventory, restock as needed, and notify supervisors of shortages. Adapt activities to meet the needs of students with diverse abilities. Maintain cleanliness and organization of program spaces; supervise setup, transitions, and cleanup. Actively engage with and mentor students, serving as a positive role model at all times (personal cell phone use during program hours permitted only for job-related purposes). Complete required participant surveys. Journal daily activities and create impact stories (written or video) for grant reporting. Open and close the facility when the Program Manager or Director is not present. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or as needed to meet the organization's needs. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education, recreation, or related field preferred. Creativity and the ability to engage youth of all abilities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. We value passion, professionalism, and purpose.
