a collaborative and compassionate team culture. Position Summary We are seeking staff to work with at-risk youth. We take pride in our structured program that focuses on changing a client's behaviors, thinking patterns, and values. Our program primarily focuses on implementing behavioral changes to assist with a successful reintegration into the home, family, and community. A Recreation Technician - Facilities is responsible for assisting in the safe and effective management of all current and future recreation facilities developed at the KidsPeace campuses. Summar of Job Duties / Essential Functions 1. Demonstrate competency in the areas of relationship building, appropriate boundaries and role modeling with children and adolescents. 2. Ensure a safe and secure environment. Act immediately to remove all dangers or threats to the welfare of our kids and know the whereabouts of all children in your care. 3. Demonstrate care, compassion, respect, integrity, truthfulness and ethical behaviors with kids as well as interactions with other staff members. 4. Complete required documentation in accordance with KidsPeace policies regarding documentation of services i.e., recreation services assessment, activity documentation, treatment plan summaries, client incident reports, etc. 5. Participate in the planning and implementation of a weekly recreation program in accordance with client treatment needs. 6. Demonstrate the ability to facilitate a variety of purposeful activities based on client treatment need including physical activities, arts and crafts, teambuilding exercises, commitment groups, special events, community outings, etc Qualifications (Education, Training and Experience): High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of direct childcare experience preferred. Must pass a Criminal History Record Clearance & a Child Abuse History Clearance which are processed by KidsPeace as well as possess a valid driver's license. Must pass a Physical & Drug screening & possess the ability to attend & successfully complete all KidsPeace sponsored training. EOE Pass a criminal record history clearance and child abuse history clearance as well as possess a valid driver's license. Shift Available Position located in Orefield, PA Requires weekends with 2 days off during the week (hours typically 11-8/12-9, weekend 9-5/10-6) About Us KidsPeace is a private charity committed to supporting the behavioral and mental health needs of children, families, and communities. Competitive Pay:
$18.50-$22.00 per hour, based on education and relatable experience.
