• T he Global Methodist Church exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ and spread scriptural holiness across the globe.

GROUP GOAL

• Global Methodist Churches maintain the classic Wesleyan heritage of connectionalism.

Since the GMC was organized 4 years ago there are now over 7,000 GMC churches in America. There are over 700 GMC churches in North Carolina and many in the communities surrounding Charlotte. However, there are NONE in the city limits of Charlotte. Our goal is to develop a thriving prayer group that will eventually lead to a Charlotte Global Methodist Church.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Seminary Education that provides the necessary knowledge of scripture and church leadership activities would be a positive for someone leading our group participants that want to strengthen their Christian faith based firmly on scripture.

Any work experience that shows a meaningful level of responsibility, administration, and management activity is significant. Work experience of any type including Summer positions, Part-time positions, Internships, or other positions would be a positive.

DIVINITY STUDENT PRAYER GROUP LEADER ACTIVITIES

• QUALIFICATION
• Must have at least 10 hours of credit toward a MDiv or DDiv degree.

TIME COMMITMENT

• A commitment of about 10-15 hours per week will probably be required to accomplish the outlined activities. Internet Media Activities
• Prepare and post written articles and videos and other modifications for our Website, Facebook, and Instagram pages.

Coordinate with our internet consultant who handles the technical details as needed.

• Meet GMC ministers in the surrounding communities, meet our district superintendant, and attend the NC annual conference to insure that GMC leaders are kept informed of our activities. Communication and Meetings with New Contacts
• Promptly respond to new contacts through phone conversations or in-person meetings. Include other members in the contact activity. Prayer Group Worship Meetings
• Plan the date and time and manage the meetings and create the content of the meetings.

A Bible based study based on scripture and other related content would be helpful. A location is available for meetings with 40 people attending.

STATEMENT OF OVERALL OBJECTIVE

• To provide a means for our Prayer Group Leader to earn income that helps secure their Seminary education goals in an atmosphere that maximizes their personal leadership development and personal fulfillment as they provide leadership to our local Charlotte group as they strengthen their scripturally based belief in Jesus Christ in a group that is connected to the Global Methodist Church.
