Recreation Assistant - Rentals (Part-time, Temporary, Non-benefited)

Job Announcement The City of Chandler Community Services Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Recreation Assistant- Rentals at the Tumbleweed Recreation Center(part-time, temporary, non-benefited). This position serves at the discretion of the department director. This position is scheduled to work Friday through Sunday, with varying hours.

Tumbleweed Recreation Center, 745 E Germann Rd, Chandler, AZ 85286. Our employees play today for a better tomorrow. Who we are looking for Our ideal candidate has a strong passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are seeking an individual with experience working in a team environment, who is skilled in setting up and breaking down events or facilities, and can also work independently. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: setting up and cleaning rooms; educating renters and guests on facility policies and ensuring compliance; assisting with audiovisual and basic technical needs; maintaining the cleanliness and overall condition of the facility and equipment; reporting issues to supervisors; and supporting Guest Services operations. Additional duties include preparing materials for programs (such as crafts and equipment), assisting with programs like birthday parties, completing assigned task lists, and supporting ad hoc assignments as needed. The Recreation Assistant will also be responsible for opening and closing the facility for rentals, ensuring spaces are properly secured and cleared at the end of each rental period. Minimum qualifications Some High School; and 1 year of experience in a recreation environment; and A First Aide/CPR Certification is required within 90 days of employment; and A valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work. The City of Chandler will conduct a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and a driving record check as a condition of employment. An offer of employment is contingent upon acceptable results. All applicants hired will be required to be fingerprinted with successful results as a condition of continued employment.
