Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable Quail Hunting Guide to join our team for the '26/'27 hunting season. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of wildlife, hunting techniques, and safety protocols. As a Quail Hunting Guide, you will lead clients through various hunting experiences, ensuring their safety while providing an educational and enjoyable outing. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people. Specializing in traditional, mule-drawn quail hunts, corporate retreats, destination weddings, outdoor pursuits, and luxury lodging, Woodside offers a unique setting for meaningful connections and memorable experiences. Known for its blend of refined hospitality and rugged outdoor elegance, Woodside Plantation is a place to gather, celebrate, and create lasting memories. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Hunting Guide position located in Estill, South Carolina. The Hunting Guide will lead hunts and outdoor activities, ensuring safety, compliance with regulations, and an exceptional experience for all guests. Key responsibilities include guiding clients on quail, duck, dove, turkey and deer hunts, assisting with game preparation, maintaining hunting equipment, and habitat management. The Hunting Guide will also be responsible for dog care and training, raising early release birds and providing attentive customer service, fostering a welcoming, professional, and safe environment for all guests. Responsibilities Lead hunting trips, ensuring the safety and satisfaction of all participants. Provide guidance on equipment usage and maintenance to enhance the hunting experience. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences. Manage time efficiently to ensure all aspects of the hunting trip run smoothly. Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork and camaraderie among participants. Utilize public speaking skills to engage clients during briefings and educational sessions. Maintain knowledge of local wildlife patterns and habitats to enhance client success rates. Experience Proven experience in quail hunting and outdoor guiding. Strong leadership abilities with a focus on customer service excellence. Excellent time management skills to coordinate various aspects of each trip effectively. Ability to educate clients in an engaging manner while fostering a love for the outdoors and wildlife conservation. Ability to engage effectively with high net worth clientele. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Physical fitness to work in outdoor environments for extended hours First Aid and CPR certification is a plus
