Job Description
Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an enriching summer experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children. You will be responsible for leading activities, providing guidance, and fostering positive relationships with campers while promoting personal growth and teamwork. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for working with children and enjoy outdoor activities. Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety of campers during all activities. Plan and lead engaging activities such as sports, arts and crafts, and educational programs. Provide support and guidance to campers in their personal development and social interactions. Foster a positive camp environment by encouraging teamwork, respect, and inclusivity. Manage camper behavior effectively using appropriate behavior management techniques. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding camper progress and well-being. Collaborate with fellow counselors to create a cohesive team atmosphere. Assist in maintaining camp facilities and ensuring cleanliness. Requirements Experience working with children in various settings such as childcare, tutoring, or babysitting is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children of different ages. Background in Christian counseling or related fields is a plus. Knowledge of sports coaching or experience in leading recreational activities is beneficial. Ability to educate campers on various topics while promoting personal growth. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. A positive attitude, patience, and enthusiasm for working in a camp environment.
