Job Description

Chattanooga FC does this through its premier Men's and Women's teams, through its youth training programs of the Chattanooga FC Camps, and the select teams of Chattanooga FC Academy, the CFL adult leagues, and through the Chattanooga FC Foundation and its charitable programs CSM and Operation Get Active. This position plays a critical role in fulfilling the Chattanooga FC's purpose to build community through the world's game. You will be expected and empowered to facilitate the success of CFC football initiatives and events, advancing the sport and creating memorable, impactful experiences that shape the future of Chattanooga Youth. Position Summary The Sport Science Coordinator will assist in using technologies to help the coaches and the rest of the High-Performance team individualize training plans. The Sport Science Coordinator will work closely with the Chattanooga FC's
MLS NEXT
program and women's team. They will also have regular interaction with the organization's athletic care and training, medical and technical staff. This position reports to

Director, Director of Performance, and Women's Team Head Coach. Essential Functions Participate with
MLS NEXT
teams and CFCs women's team as a Sports Science Coordinator Collect, clean, and analyze club GPS data for incoming players to project in-camp load Collecting and interpreting force plate data using Vald force deck to help guide load management strategies during training Assist and run catapult live on-field workload management to achieve individual thresholds in real-time Collect and clean post-session GPS data immediately following training to ensure timely delivery of data visualization to all key stakeholders Assist in delivering nutrition and hydration strategies to enhance performance and optimize recovery Assist medical staff in end stage return to player protocol to return injured players back to peak performance Assist in collecting the morning screening to guide player training involvement and load modification Assist with delivering one-on-one technical sessions to achieve on-field physical objectives Assist in delivering club-led individual resistance training programs Assist with team activation and cooldown Participate in high-performance department meetings Assist in administering physical strength and conditioning tests for the players Assist in leveraging technologies to set individualized on-field external load thresholds on normative data Maintain a clean exercise database to aid in the planning of key physical outputs Assist with other duties needed to help drive the CFC Purpose, fulfill our Mission, foster our Vision Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 2-3 years of experience in sports operations, sporting event or administrative management Bachelor's Degree majoring in Sports Science, Kinesiology or related field (Masters preferred) Basic knowledge of soccer and the professional sports landscape Technical proficiency including Microsoft office, google suite, Gmail, and required platforms Ability to work effectively with young players and their parents Ability to work within a multidepartment team environment Ability to maintain confidential information Ability to foster strong relationships and build trust with others Capability to represent the Club with professionalism, respect, and accountability Strong verbal communication skills and telephone etiquette Exceptional organizational and time management skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills for team information sharing Ability to analyze situations, identify challenges, and develop innovative / unconventional solutions Capacity to adapt to changing priorities and challenges Commitment to continuous learning and skill development Licensing and Certifications CSCS, PES or equivalent certification Possess and maintain a current and valid driver's license First Aid and CPR certification required Possess and maintain a current and valid driver's license A dditional Requirements Must have or be willing to complete SafeSport training Must have or be willing to complete concussion training Must have a reliable personal method of transportation Maintain legally required employment eligibility without Club sponsorship Must possess a personal laptop for effective / efficient work output Physical Requirements Medium - lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 25 pounds frequently. Bending, stretching, and reaching requires. Some sitting and climbing, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended time.
Physical Environment:
This position is routinely exposed to external elements which include heat/cold, wet/humid, dry/arid and extreme weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Sporting Work Schedule:
Monday - Sunday, Hours will vary due to work assignment. Must be able to work flexible hours which will include extended days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights due to travel.
