Job Description

Maple Ridge Assisted Living is Hiring an Activities Assistant Maple Ridge Assisted Living is seeking a dependable, outgoing, and compassionate Activities Assistant to help provide meaningful activities, entertainment, and social opportunities for our residents.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday Day shift Approximately 36-40 hours per week Occasional weekend or special-event coverage may be required Responsibilities include: Leading daily scheduled activities Encouraging residents to participate in group and individual activities Helping coordinate outings, celebrations, games, crafts, exercise, music, and special events Preparing activity areas and cleaning up after programs Assisting residents to and from activities Maintaining activity supplies and helping decorate for holidays and events Documenting resident participation as required Taking photographs during activities and events when appropriate Working closely with the Assistant Administrator and other facility staff Providing residents with a positive, respectful, and engaging environment
Qualifications:
Experience working with seniors is preferred but not required Must be dependable, patient, organized, and able to work independently Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift supplies, and assist residents as needed Must be willing to work occasional weekends or special events Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record preferred for resident outings Take resident's to appointments as needed.

Pay:
Competitive and based on experience our base rate is $14.50 BACKGROUND
