Position Summary:

Assist in programming fitness and wellness activities as well as maintaining a well-functioning weight room.

Duties and Responsibilities:

50%Assist in supervising student workers and the SRC when the manager is not present. 15% Program fitness activities with the guidance of the SRC manager. 15% Manage the weight room, troubleshoot problems with machines, provide workouts for members. 10% Lead fitness programs or events. 5% Keep SRC manager informed of current trends in fitness. 5% Assist in the daily operations of the SRC and any extra duties assigned by the SRC manager.

Required Qualifications:

Some classwork in exercise science. Experience as a college athlete or personal trainer/group fitness instructor. Two years experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Good customer and communications skills Able to be creative and implement fitness into the Student Life and Recreation programming Ability to participation in fitness activities.
