Job Description

The Membership Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Memphis Raymond James Fitness Centers to include but not limited to organizing and executing fitness initiatives, challenges, and programs, while cleaning and maintaining.
NOTE :
You do not need to be a certified trainer for this position. If you are passionate about health and fitness and are willing to learn how to teach people to live a healthy lifestyle, then this job is for you! This is an on-site position. This position is a contractor position employed by Magnit. You will report directly to the Fitness Supervisor for Raymond James Financial but all payroll and employment related activities are handled by Magnit.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maximize participation through motivation and educational components building rapport with members. Monitor the fitness room to ensure members are using the equipment properly and offer information on safe and proper exercises. Initiate daily promotion of personal training clinics and all wellness related opportunities. Support firm-wide fitness programs and challenges. Register associates through membership software and support retention. Report any incidents directly to the fitness supervisor. Log any issues and communicate in a timely manner. Maintain administrative tasks. Record/report on membership statistics and activity.to project manager. Maintain the Fitness Center ensuring the room is clean and organized. Integrate the mission of Raymond James and follow the core values and culture into the healthy living aspect of job. Additional duties may be assigned by your supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Must possess knowledge of fitness and wellness aspects. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing. Strong organizational skills required to balance a variety of tasks with a high degree of competence and accuracy. Requires ability and experience to use computer for word processing, e-mail, and internet. CPR/First Aid Certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Must have physical, visual and auditory ability to perform the job. Must be able to lift 45lbs. Must be 18 years of age or older Optional instructor classes with valid certifications: Nationally recognized organizations (NASM, CSCS, ISSA, NSCA, ACSM, ACE, AFAA).
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, preferably with courses in Recreation, Exercise Physiology, Health or related field. 1 years of related work experience. Experience teaching health/wellness and group fitness classes preferred. Personal Training experience and knowledge preferred.
WORK HOURS
Part-Time Non-Exempt. Up to 20 hours/week. Variable schedule.
