Job Description
Counselor Job Description Counselors are the backbone of Camp Davis. You are the people that campers spend the most time with and look up to. Responsibilities Include Campers Help provide a safe and inclusive environment for kids of all different backgrounds Make sure campers are well hydrated, have sunblock and bug spray on. Manage your assigned group of campers ex. Take attendance, resolve camper issues, mitigate risks Have Fun Get to know your campers and their families Serve snack to campers Managing transition times traveling between activities Communication Let your Unit Head (Supervisor) know if you have any camper issues that you cannot solve If a camper gets hurt or something happens where a call home to inform the parents of an incident is necessary, inform your Unit Head Make sure you are using inclusive language: you all, y'all, friends, campers, etc. Misc. Be flexible with all aspects of camp Help with camper pick up and drop off when needed Bring a positive attitude to camp Help when needed at activities
