Summer Camp Counselor

Job Summary Join our summer camp team as a Summer Camp Counselor and ignite the spirit of adventure, learning, and growth in children! In this role, you will create a safe, engaging environment where kids can explore new activities, build lasting friendships and deepen their faith. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact while gaining valuable experience in outdoor skills, education, and leadership. Lodging and meals provided during your time on staff. Duties Lead and supervise children during camp activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times Facilitate fun, educational programs that promote creativity, teamwork, and spiritual growth. Provide first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any health or safety concerns. Assist with setting up camp events, participate in worship, attend regular meetings, and share the love of Jesus with campers. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, babysitting, tutoring, or camp environments is preferred. Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hiring) Strong classroom management skills and ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively Experience with sports coaching, outdoor program facilitation or Christian counseling is a plus Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for working with kids of all ages Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods Join us this summer from June to the end of July to empower children through engaging activities, nurturing their growth, and creating unforgettable experiences!
