Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Ranch Camp Director to lead and oversee our dynamic summer camp program. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for children and youth, fostering personal growth, teamwork, and fun. As the camp's primary leader, you will coordinate daily activities, manage staff and volunteers, manage equine well-being, and ensure all aspects of the camp run smoothly. Your passion for working with children and your leadership skills will inspire a memorable experience for every camper while promoting values aligned with our mission of nurturing development through equine education, outdoor adventure, and community. Duties Plan, organize, and oversee daily camp activities that promote childhood development, teamwork, and fun in a safe environment Supervise camp and evaluation of camp staff and volunteers to ensure high-quality programming Maintain a safe camp environment by implementing health protocols, emergency procedures, and first aid protocols as needed Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding camper progress, concerns, or special needs Handling camp logistics, supplies, and scheduling. Filling in with riding instruction or camp activities as needed Overseeing horse assignments and daily riding schedules Assisting with equine care and monitoring equine well-being during camp Managing camp check-in/check-out and daily attendance Qualifications Strong equine knowledge, ability to assist with horse care, horse assignments and daily riding schedules Positive, energetic, and professional attitude Certifications in first aid and CPR; additional training in special education or behavior management is a plus Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining a positive and energetic attitude Ability to multi-task in a fast paced outdoor environment Excellent communication skills to collaborate with staff, parents, and community partners Passion for working with children and fostering an inclusive environment that supports their growth and well-beingJoin us as a Ranch Camp Director to make a lasting impact on young lives through outdoor adventure and meaningful learning experiences!
