Job Description

New Hope Manor in Cedar Park, TX is seeking an energetic, creative, self-directed Activities Director Assistant to enrich the lives of our resident's quality of life. The candidate should have the following characteristics and or experience.
ROTATING SCHEDULE- EVERY OTHER WEEKEND OFF JOB SUMMARY
Plans, coordinates and directs an ongoing program of activities designed to meet the physical, mental, social, recreational, and religious needs of the residents; recruits, trains, and supervises the volunteer program of the facility, completes documentation as required by State and Federal requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in Preparing monthly newsletter for distribution to all residents and families. Develop and pursues a varied program of meaningful activities and events that is balanced in the physical, spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, vocational and cognitive elements. Meets and greets each person upon move-in to welcome them and their family and friends to the facility. Decorates the common areas for special events and holidays. Conducts individual and group interactions. Documents on Resident participation Compassionate spirit and enthusiasm for working with the elderly. Experience working with seniors. Proficient in written and verbal English. Computer experience and ability to-use or learn to use software programs.

: Rotating Schedule Including Weekends
