Job Description

Job Summary CMNTY Sports is seeking an energetic and experienced Youth Movement Coach to lead fun, structured, and engaging physical activity programs for children in after-school settings. Coaches will work directly with youth ages 4-13, helping them build confidence, teamwork, coordination, and a love for movement through sports and fitness-based activities. This role is hands-on and highly active, requiring strong leadership, positive communication, and the ability to manage and motivate groups of children in a fun and safe environment. Responsibilities Lead engaging sports, fitness, and movement-based activities for youth Create a fun, safe, and structured environment for all participants Teach basic athletic skills, coordination, and movement fundamentals Manage group behavior and maintain positive classroom control Motivate and encourage student participation and confidence building Support daily program flow and transitions between activities Communicate professionally with staff and students Ensure safety and proper use of equipment Requirements Experience working with youth in sports, fitness, camps, recreation, or education Ability to lead and manage groups of children in structured activities Strong communication and leadership skills Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented mindset Passion for youth development and active lifestyles Basic knowledge of movement, sports, or physical activity instruction Preferred Qualifications 1+ years of experience working with youth ages 3-14 Experience leading groups of 10+ children Background in sports coaching, physical education, kinesiology, exercise science, recreation, or child development Experience in after-school programs, youth sports, or fitness instruction CPR/First Aid certification (preferred or willingness to obtain) Schedule Part-time, weekday afternoons (schedule varies by site) Additional opportunities available for teams, camps, events, and school breaks Why Join CMNTY Sports?
