- CAC•Administration/Recreation Aides Opening Date 04/07/2026 Description Performs duties related to the operations of the Community Activity Center front desk and/or concessions areas•to include greeting guests, registration, answering phones, addressing guest questions, assisting in room/gym set ups, preparing food, stocking, cleaning, and enforcing Community Activity Center rules and regulations.
Examples of Duties Greets Community Activity Center guests, answers questions regarding the Community Activity Center and/or the Town of Flower Mound, answers phone and provides excellent customer service. Register participants for classes. Sells Community Activity Center memberships and programs; this includes handling credit card transactions, receiving cash, and counting correct change. Provides tours of the Community Activity Center. Checks out gym and game equipment for guests. Performs miscellaneous administrative tasks to include filing, organizing, inventory, etc. Supports other areas of the Community Activity Center by assisting with special events, aquatic programs, and facility rentals/coverage. Sells concession items such as soft drinks and food items. This includes handling credit card transactions, receiving cash, and counting correct change. Ensures concession areas are clean at all times. Prepare food as directed. Performs miscellaneous tasks to include deep cleaning, organizing, maintaining soft drink and food preparation machines, inventory, etc. Attends mandatory training and in-service meetings. Inform supervisor of all work-related activities. Adheres to the personnel, safety, and divisional policies of the Town of Flower Mound. Assists co-workers and other divisions as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 16 years old. American Red Cross CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications are required within the first 30 days of hire date. Must have a valid state-issued driver's license and driving record must be in compliance with Town policy. Must be able to perform strenuous physical activities to include running, kneeling, bending, twisting, dragging, pushing, pulling, regularly lifting up to 50 lbs. of various recreational and athletic equipment, and occasionally lifting up to 110 lbs. of various recreational and athletic equipment. Desired Qualifications A High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is preferred. Knowledge/ Skills / Abilities Must have excellent leadership, organizational, and communicative skills, both oral and written. Must attain Food Handler Certification immediately post hire for concessions. Computer proficiency is required. Must maintain an effective and pleasant working relationship with citizens, the general public, employees, and volunteers. Must be able to work various hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
