Job Description

The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, established in 1885, consists of 16 branches and one destination camp and employs over 2000 staff - all dedicated to building healthy, confident, connected, and secure children, adults, families and communities. Camp Grady Spruce YMCA, located on beautiful Possum Kingdom Lake approximately 120 miles west of Dallas, is actively seeking a cause-driven leader to join our team as the Food Services Coordinator. Reporting to the Food Services Director, this position will assist in maintaining inventory, processing food orders, creating weekly menus, supervising kitchen staff, cooking meals and helping maintain a safe and clean environment in our two kitchens. This position is part time hourly, 29 hours per week and during peak seasons may work up to 40 hours. Two or more years of experience in a food service operation. Knowledge and experience in food preparation, cooking, baking, and kitchen procedures. Knowledge and skills in purchasing, menu planning, general kitchen equipment maintenance. Must be at least 18 years of age. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time. Must have or obtain within 30 days of hire a Food Handlers Permit, Food Manager License, and CPR training.
