Job Summary This is a 2-week, part-time time position , Monday to Friday, 9:00am-3:00pm - a great opportunity for someone looking to earn extra money during the summer but still have time for their own personal activities. The job begins on June 18, 2026 through July 2, 2026. Wesley Housing is looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Summer Camp Counselors! In this fun and rewarding role, you will play an important role in creating a fun and safe environment for campers. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of younger children while gaining valuable experience in teamwork and recreational planning. As a Camp Counselor, you will assist with setting up, leading and cleaning up from activities for children during summer day-camp programs taking place at our Wesley Housing Community Resource Center. Camp Counselors will report to full-time Wesley Housing staff. This opportunity is great for high-school students (age 16 and older) who enjoy working with children and want to make a positive impact in their community. The Camp Counselor helps supervise activities for children ages 6-13.
Essential Functions:
Assist with planning, setting up, and leading daily camp activities for elementary-aged children, including sports, arts and crafts, games, snack preparation, music, and field trips. Accompany children on field trips and help organize and maintain a buddy system to ensure safety. Foster positive relationships with campers by providing guidance, support, and encouragement throughout the camp experience. Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating respect, responsibility, and safe behavior in all interactions. Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming camp environment. Follow all camp and organizational policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of campers and staff. Immediately notify a supervisor or staff member of any safety, health, or emergency concerns. Perform other duties as assigned to support camp operations. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to arrive on time and maintain punctuality and reliable attendance. Ability to engage with children in a positive and supportive manner through conversation, play, and active listening. Ability to supervise and interact with children in a group setting. Ability to track and enter work hours daily using a computer or mobile app. Physical Job Requirements Able to remain standing, walking, and moving throughout an entire workday Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds, especially while preparing for and tearing down activities

Part-time, Temporary Pay:
$17.50 per hour Expected hours: No more than 28.0 per week Application Question(s): This is a part-time summer position. Employment can last for up to three weeks. Hours are from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Are you able to reliably work this schedule for the two-week period listed in the job description?
