Job Description
This is recreation work in conducting camp programs and activities for youth. Work involves responsibility for program planning and the conduct of camp activities for the Parks and Recreation Department. Counselors must be CPR/First Aid certified prior to the first day of camp and will be required to attend mandatory staff training, June 8 - 11 from 12pm-4pm; schedule: Monday-Friday, various daytime hours between 7am-6pm, June 16 - August 7. Minimum 18 years of age and experience with children. CPR and standard first aid certification maybe be obtained after hire date but must have certification prior to working with campers. Criminal record check required. Required to work during the 4th of July Independence Day Celebration; and other departmental events as needed.
