In this dynamic role, you'll create a safe, inclusive, and fun environment that fosters childhood development, teamwork, and confidence. Your energy and positive attitude will help make each camper's summer unforgettable while supporting their social, emotional, and physical growth. Responsibilities Lead and supervise groups of children during various camp activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times Plan and facilitate age-appropriate games, arts and crafts, sports, theater performances, and other recreational activities that promote creativity and teamwork Maintain a safe environment by adhering to all safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary Support children with special needs or behavioral challenges through compassionate guidance and behavior management strategies Foster positive relationships with campers by encouraging inclusion, respect, and kindness Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding camper progress and any concerns that arise during camp sessions Assist with daily camp setup, cleanup, and organization to ensure a smooth operation Skills Strong classroom management skills to maintain order while encouraging fun and participation Knowledge of first aid procedures to respond effectively to minor injuries or emergencies Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including early childhood education or daycare environments Ability to adapt activities for children with special needs or different learning styles Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members Background in sports coaching, theater arts, babysitting, or tutoring is a plus for leading diverse activities Demonstrated understanding of childhood development principles to support age-appropriate interactions and growth This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives while developing valuable leadership skills.
