Now Hiring:
Camp Counselor Lead The King's Kids YDC is a state-licensed childcare center in Virginia offering preschool, afterschool, and summer programs in a Christian-based learning environment . We are seeking an experienced Camp Counselor Lead to guide our summer camp program for school-age children. About Our Program Our program provides a safe, structured, and engaging environment where children grow in faith, learning, and confidence. Campers participate in hands-on activity labs , including: STEM Lab Art Lab Music & Dance Lab LEGO/Building Lab Fitness & Recreational Activities Bible-based enrichment Responsibilities Lead and supervise daily camp operations and activities Manage groups of children (ages 5-12) using strong behavior management Ensure safety and follow all licensing and program guidelines Support and direct assistant counselors and volunteers Assist with meals, transitions, and daily routines Respond to incidents and provide basic first aid when needed Foster a positive, structured, and faith-centered environment Communicate with parents and leadership as needed Qualifications Must be 18 years or older Associate's or Bachelor's degree required (Education, Recreation, Child Development, or related field preferred) 2-5 years of experience required (childcare, camps, school-age programs, or education) Strong leadership and classroom management skills Experience working with school-age children Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to respond to emergencies Must be comfortable working in a Christian-based program Additional Information Seasonal position with opportunity to stay on for fall (afterschool or preschool program) Supportive team environment with growth opportunities
