Job Description
Looking for an opportunity to enrich the lives of our residents? Come join us! Arlington Health and Rehab is a privately owned skilled nursing facility that serves the community in which we are located. We are looking for someone to join our Activities Department who enjoys engaging with seniors, is willing to learn, be creative, positive and joyful. If you seek to belong to a fun team, while getting to give true resident centered care, we are the place for you! The right candidate will have a great attitude, and be willing to deliver superior customer service to our residents and their families. Experience is a plus. This position is Sunday through Thursday, 10 am to 4 pm. - Excellent communication skills
- Experience in event planning, assisted living, nursing home, Alzheimer's care, memory care, senior care, recreational therapy, dementia care, and caregiving is a plus
- Ability to engage with our senior population
- Strong customer service skills Responsibilities
- With guidance from the Director, plan and organize recreational activities for residents
- Provide support and assistance to seniors with group and individual activities
- Utilize communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff members
- Coordinate and execute events tailored to the needs and interests of the senior population
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of residents when engaging them in activities
- Offer customer service and support to individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, and memory care needs
- Manage schedules to optimize residents' participation in various activities
