  • Checking the resident schedule at the beginning of each shift and throughout the day.
Medical appointments will always take precedence over an activity. Attending daily activity team meetings. Communicate professionally and effectively with the Activities Director, and fellow team members. Developing new activities each month to assist residents in social skills development in the facility and out in the community. Creating step-by-step instructions for activities. Analyzing the appropriateness of situations, plan for safety, and plan for emergency situations when out in the community. Planning for staffing needs during each activity. Ensuring that the monthly activity calendars are posted at each location prior to the start of a new month. Maintaining a log of Activity Calendars. Participating in all scheduled and unscheduled activities. Must be flexible to accommodate activities, specialty group activities, and community events that may occur outside of the regular work schedule. This includes evenings and weekends. Attend monthly resident meetings to get feedback and new ideas from residents. Other duties as assigned. Skills & Qualifications Ability to stand and walk for several hours at a time Ability to lift 30 pounds Requirements Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the US Must pass a Washington State Background Check Clean driving record Preferred Credentials & Certificates Home Care Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant License CPR/First Aid Blood Borne Pathogens Washington State Food Worker Card
