Job Description
Job Summary Join our vibrant summer program as a Kids Summer Camp Counselor and ignite a love of learning, creativity, and fun in children! In this energetic role, you'll lead engaging activities, foster a safe and inclusive environment, and support children's growth through playful exploration and educational experiences. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create memorable summer moments that inspire confidence, teamwork, and joy for every child you work with. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact while developing valuable skills in childcare, teaching, and youth development. Responsibilities Lead and supervise children during camp activities, ensuring they are engaged, safe, and supported at all times Facilitate a variety of fun-filled activities including sports, arts and crafts, theater performances, and outdoor games that promote childhood development Manage group behavior with positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies Provide first aid when necessary and maintain safety protocols to respond promptly to emergencies or injuries Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance by implementing inclusive teaching practices Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, or concerns Collaborate with fellow counselors to plan daily schedules that align with camp goals and ensure smooth transitions between activities Experience Previous experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or summer camps is highly preferred Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development best practices Skills in classroom management and behavior management to foster a positive environment Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous but not required; training will be provided if needed Familiarity with special education strategies or working with children with diverse needs is a plus Experience in sports coaching, theater arts, or childcare roles demonstrates versatility and enthusiasm for engaging children in varied activities Join us this summer to create joyful experiences that nurture young minds!
