Description:
The Lewis & Clark Riverboat, owned and operated by The Fort Abraham Lincoln Foundation is seeking a seasonal part-time Ticketing Office Sales Agent(s) for our cruise and charter operation at the Landing in Bismarck, ND. We are seeking to hire a sales agent to fill the current opening as well as seasonal staff. The Ticketing Office Sales Agent will be trained to be knowledgeable about the Fort Abraham Lincoln Foundation's mission and cruise/charter operations. The successful candidate will sell tickets for all product offerings and will contribute to an amazing guest experience through superior service to guests, vendors, and peers. The cruise season runs from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend and operates 7 days per week.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Sell tickets for all offerings directly to guests at the ticketing office. Receive passengers and inform them about boarding procedures, distribute boarding passes to passengers and directing them. Make and confirm cruise reservations using telephone and computers with prescribed ticketing system. Collect outstanding balances for reservations and collect payment vouchers from third party distributors. Act as liaison for tour operators visiting the Landing, ensuring their reservation numbers are correct, modifying reservations as needed and receiving payment. Use point of sale system to sell tickets and other items sold in the ticketing office. Resolve customer complaints regarding booking and ticketing. Communicate with onboard staff regarding special boarding needs of guests or any other special needs. Handle money and tickets accurately and responsibly and effectively handle cash and credit card sales. Responsible for accurate cash counts and deposits. Maintain personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards. Be prepared to begin work at scheduled time. Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager. Requirements and Qualifications Preffered one year of customer service experience. High School Diploma or GED required. Basic computer and cash handling skills are required. Must effectively understand and convey written and verbal information to guests and coworkers. Must possess a service orientation - Actively looking for ways to help others. Will require the ability to stand for long periods of time and assist onboard our vessels if needed. Mandatory availability to work on all major summer holidays, weekends and evenings. Per U.S. Coast Guard requirements, must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. About the Opportunity Starting hourly of $17- $20 doe.
