Position SummaryThe Reservations Agents primary responsibility is to capture as many reservations as possible by utilizing effective sales techniques while delivering exceptional customer service. This position requires strong communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a commitment to exceeding guest expectations.

The ideal candidate is courteous, self-motivated, organized, and passionate about providing world-class hospitality experiences.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAnswer incoming telephone calls and emails in a professional, friendly, and timely mannerBook reservations for overnight accommodations accurately and efficientlyAssist guests by recommending and securing future reservations and vacation packagesPromptly follow up on guest inquiry leads to maximize second-chance bookingsManage multiple phone calls and reservation requests in a fast-paced environmentProvide detailed information regarding resort accommodations, amenities, dining, activities, and surrounding attractionsSend brochures, confirmations, and requested resort information to prospective guestsUtilize proven reservation sales techniques to increase occupancy and revenueInput accurate reservation details into the reservation management systemMaintain and update guest profiles, preferences, and account informationManage daily correspondence and operational tasks to exceed guest expectations and expand customer loyaltyDeliver the highest standard of customer service to all guests and internal departmentsDemonstrate strong computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)Support special projects and operational initiatives as assignedProfessionally represent the resort within the community and hospitality industryCollaborate effectively with all departments to support resort operationsProvide constructive feedback and maintain a positive team environmentServe as a professional role model and team player across all departmentsPerform additional duties as assigned by leadership, Ownership, Senior Vice President, or General ManagerQualificationsEducation & ExperienceOne-year certificate from college or technical school preferred; orThree to six months of related hospitality, reservations, sales, or customer service experience; orEquivalent combination of education and experiencePrevious experience with TRACK Pulse and/or Springer-Miller Systems (SMS) preferredHospitality, hotel, or resort reservations experience strongly preferredBasic Required SkillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to speak, read, write, and understand English fluentlyExceptional guest service and interpersonal skillsStrong sales ability with a focus on converting inquiries into bookingsExcellent multitasking and organizational skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a team environmentStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsBasic mathematical and computational skillsStrong computer proficiency and office software knowledgeAbility to analyze guest needs and provide personalized vacation solutionsLeadership mindset with the ability to positively influence team successProfessional appearance, attitude, and work ethicAvailabilitySandestin Golf & Beach Resort operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. DaysEveningsWeekendsHolidaysPeak seasonal business periods as neededPhysical RequirementsMost work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled office environmentMust be able to sit at a desk for extended periods, up to 5 hours per dayWalking and standing are required throughout the remainder of the workdayMust be able to move throughout the resort property as needed in a timely mannerMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionallyMust be able to push and pull carts or equipment weighing up to 250 pounds occasionallyMust be able to bend, stoop, squat, stretch, and reach as neededRequires repetitive use of hands, wrists, and fingers for typing and operating office equipmentRequires manual dexterity for computers, printers, copiers, telephones, and office equipmentRequires continuous talking and hearing for guest and team communicationRequires continuous near vision and depth perception for computer and reservation system useMust be able to perform repetitive motions including writing, typing, standing, walking, and sitting for extended periodsEOE M/D/F/V
