Job Description
Back of House Manager MuleKick | Magnolia, AR MuleKick is hiring a Back of House Manager to help lead the kitchen, strengthen daily operations, and keep the back of house running with consistency, accountability, and control. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can do more than just work a line. The right person will help manage inventory and ordering, monitor food cost, support BOH scheduling with leadership, uphold food safety standards, train and develop the team, and help bring stronger structure to the kitchen through better systems, communication, and follow-through. What You'll Do Lead and support day-to-day BOH operations Place food and supply orders twice weekly based on current inventory, par levels, and projected sales Help maintain a low out-of-stock rate and strong product control Track food cost weekly and identify waste, overuse, and problem areas early Work with leadership on BOH scheduling, labor targets, and kitchen coverage Train, coach, and support BOH staff and BOH Leads Lead daily BOH pre-shift trainings and help build stronger kitchen habits over time Maintain recipe consistency, food quality, station readiness, and execution standards Help develop cleaning systems, station accountability, and BOH training structure Participate in weekly metrics and operational check-ins with leadership What We're Looking For Strong kitchen leadership experience Proven understanding of inventory, ordering, food cost, and kitchen organization Ability to train clearly, coach calmly, and hold standards consistently Strong communication with BOH, FOH, and leadership Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Comfortable in a fast-paced restaurant environment ServSafe Manager certification required Strong culture fit, accountability, and follow-through are just as important as experience What Success Looks Like A kitchen that stays stocked, organized, and ready for service Weekly food cost tracking and fewer end-of-month surprises Stronger BOH training and more consistent execution across shifts Better station ownership, cleaner systems, and tighter communication A BOH team that can operate with more confidence, consistency, and accountability Why This Role Matters This role is meant to help strengthen the kitchen, support the team, and bring more structure to back of house operations.
