Job Overview About the Restaurant We are a newly opened Italian Coastal Kitchen, currently in our soft opening phase. Our concept is inspired by Italy's seaside regions, featuring fresh seafood, handmade pastas, seasonal ingredients, and elevated comfort dishes. The core menu has been created, and we are focused on execution, consistency, and refinement as we transition toward full operations. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef and Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This leadership role requires a passionate professional with extensive culinary expertise, strong management skills, and a commitment to food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will oversee all kitchen operations, ensure menu excellence, and maintain high standards of service in a fast-paced, fine dining environment. Duties Lead and supervise the kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and other culinary personnel, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production Oversee menu planning, development, and implementation to align with restaurant standards and customer preferences Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize kitchen resources Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across all kitchen areas Coordinate food preparation and presentation to meet fine dining standards Oversee catering operations and special event food service to ensure consistency and excellence Supervise shift management, including scheduling staff shifts to meet operational needs Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless food service delivery Monitor kitchen performance metrics and implement improvements as needed Train new staff members on food handling, safety procedures, and culinary techniques Skills Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining cuisine and food production Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting, with team management capabilities Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff Experience in banquet service, catering, or large-scale food events is highly desirable Knowledge of inventory management, inventory control, and cost control strategies Expertise in menu planning, food safety protocols, and dietary department standards Skilled in food handling, food preparation, and kitchen management practices Familiarity with restaurant management systems and food service operations Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Background in hospitality or the food industry with a focus on quality service delivery This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated culinary professional to lead a vibrant team while delivering exceptional dining experiences. Pay:
$65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
