Job Description

Schedule:
Monday-Friday | Approximately 6:30 AM - 3:30PM About Our Family We are a busy, high-functioning household seeking an experienced, proactive, and deeply organized House Manager / Family Assistant to help keep our home running smoothly and peacefully. This role is ideal for someone who naturally notices what needs to be done before being asked and takes pride in creating calm, structure, and consistency within a home. Our household includes school-aged children, elderly family members, multiple daily schedules, and an active home environment. We are looking for someone dependable, warm, detail-oriented, and capable of managing both routine household operations and evolving family needs with professionalism and care. Core Responsibilities Morning Family Support & School Logistics Assist with morning household readiness beginning around 6:30 AM Ensure children are prepared and dropped off to school by 7:00 AM daily Support children's school routines and ensure backpacks, lunches/snacks, water bottles, and activity items are prepared and organized Handle daily school pickups around midday Help maintain and organize family calendars, school communication, forms, activity schedules, and household logistics so parents remain informed and organized Ensure the household is aware of upcoming school events, activities, appointments, and scheduling needs Household Management & Daily Home Operations Daily home reset and upkeep of common spaces Kitchen reset throughout the day including unloading/loading dishwasher, dishes after family meals, wiping counters, organizing pantry/fridge, and maintaining cleanliness Assist parents during meal preparation with support tasks such as washing produce, chopping vegetables, ingredient prep, kitchen organization, and post-meal cleanup Break down and organize deliveries/packages (Amazon, Target, grocery deliveries, etc.) Maintain organization across pantry, refrigerator, mudroom, children's spaces, storage, and household systems Ensure household supplies, groceries, snacks, paper goods, toiletries, and cleaning essentials remain fully stocked and proactively reordered Coordinate vendors, maintenance appointments, deliveries, and service providers as needed Run family errands including pharmacy, returns, post office, dry cleaning, grocery pickups, and miscellaneous household needs Laundry & Household Linen Care Weekly laundering and changing of sheets, towels, and bedding Daily/weekly children's laundry including washing, folding, organizing, and assisting children with putting clothing away Maintain organization of children's closets, drawers, and seasonal rotations Light ironing/steaming as needed Family & Elderly Support Provide respectful and attentive support to elderly family members within the home Assist with light daily needs, organization, meal setup, hydration reminders, errands, or companionship support as appropriate Help create a calm, comfortable, and orderly environment for all generations within the household Ideal Candidate Prior experience as a House Manager, Family Assistant, Estate Assistant, or similar role in a private household Exceptionally organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Able to independently manage a home and anticipate needs without constant direction Comfortable balancing children's schedules, household logistics, and changing priorities Warm, calm, trustworthy, and professional Comfortable working collaboratively alongside parents in the kitchen and household environment Tech-comfortable with shared calendars, grocery ordering apps, Amazon/Target ordering, and household management systems Reliable transportation and clean driving record required Comfortable around children and elderly family members Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism within a private household This role is best suited for someone who genuinely enjoys creating ease for a busy family and takes pride in helping a home feel organized, peaceful, and fully supported.
Pay:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
