EVS ManagerSummaryProvide organization, instruction and guidance to members of the EVS staff. Ensures completion of daily objectives while maintaining Casino Arizona/Talking Stick Resort's Standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Supervisory ResponsibilitiesManages the EVS Shift Supervisor in the EVS Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; performance appraisals; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Leadership Job Expectations:
Fostering ECM Development through Pathways to Success ProgramThe Gaming Enterprises are committed to the employment and advancement of Enrolled Community Members (ECMs) of the SRP-MIC. The Gaming Enterprises' Pathways to Success Program is a comprehensive program designed to provide ECMs with quality casino work experience, educational opportunities and to prepare them to become the Gaming Enterprises' future leaders. Pathways to Success is designed to foster the participant's preparedness for success on the job. A Manager level leader is expected to actively support ECMs in their professional and academic goals through:Program Awareness and Communication:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Pathways to Success programs. Ensure all ECMs are informed about relevant opportunities.Mentorship and Coaching:
Actively mentor ECMs, offering guidance on career pathways and facilitating connections to additional coaching resources as needed.Resource Allocation:
Allocate time and budget to support ECMs' participation in developmental activities, such as courses, certifications, or conferences.Development Planning:
Collaborate with ECMs to create and regularly review individual development plans, setting measurable goals and tracking progress.Barrier Removal:
Identify and address obstacles that may hinder ECMs' career growth, advocating for their needs within the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.- Interviews, selects and assures proper training of EVS team members in proper work procedures and techniques.
- Supervises and monitors work performance of team members by conducting casino and public area inspections. Provides coaching and counseling of team members and conducts performance reviews when needed.
- Plans and conducts monthly staff meetings to ensure open communication amongst team members. Attends various operational related meetings to obtain and disseminate pertinent information.
- Creates schedules for Shift Supervisors and reviews staff schedule.
- Assures equipment is maintained properly.
- Oversees payroll process.
- Evaluates work of Supervisors and assigns the employees reviews to supervisor.
- Assists EVS staff in securing all supplies and tools necessary for the completion of daily tasks.
- Assists with monthly EVS inventories.
- Monitors proper use and compliance with hazardous chemicals program.
- Expedites all requests by guests.
- Ensures cleanliness of designated areas by creating and monitoring a rotation clean program.
- Responsible for the enforcement of all applicable regulations, under the code of Federal Regulations, Title 31, Chapter X, as it pertains to this position. This includes, but is not limited to, observing and reporting suspicious activity, of either customers or employees, as defined in the Code of Federal Regulations.
- Responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all applicable regulations under the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 31, Chapter X, by attending Title 31/Anti-Money Laundering training, provided by Casino Arizona, at least once a year or more if required by management and outlined in the Title 31 Minimum Internal Controls.
- Presents a professional and well-groomed appearance at all times.
- Must be able and willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, team skills, organizational skills, and be adaptable in a fast paced, ever- changing environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel, both in verbal and written modes.
- Possesses the ability to manage difficult customer situations professionally, and resolve customer issues in a timely, efficient and effective manner.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks, demonstrating flexibility when dealing with changing business priorities.
- Must be able to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions.
- Ability to work independently and show judgment and initiative to accomplish job duties.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. Must be physically able to ascend and descend multiple flights of stairs during a shift. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; secondary smoke; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
