One parent splits their time working part-time and volunteering at the kids' school, while the other works full-time outside the home. Our home runs on daily routines—we value consistency, spending quality time together outdoors, creating a safe space for our kids to play and read, and fostering their independence. Our children are energetic, curious, and full of fun questions that keep us on our toes. We love to stay active and are avid readers. Daily homework and several after-school activities throughout the year, including club soccer, volleyball, flag football, baseball, and swimming, keep our family always on the go. With our busy schedules, we're eager to lighten the mental load with the support of a highly proactive house manager: starting with meal prep, household organization, and helping our kids settle into homework and after-school routines. We are seeking long-term, consistent, honest, and proactive support to create and maintain meaningful systems in our home that lighten the load of the household tasks, so that we can have a seamless home life to balance out the chaos of our busy lifestyle. Who You Are / What We're Looking For Our ideal fit is someone who brings calm, grounded energy to balance the liveliness of our household—someone who is patient, resourceful, and naturally organized. You have experience in and feel passionate about cooking/meal planning and creating and maintaining household systems that keep the home running smoothly. You welcome the dynamic energy of our 1 year old golden retriever and curious kids, and genuinely enjoy spending time with them and creating a space that supports fostering their independence. We are seeking a trustworthy, flexible, and proactive house manager who is comfortable taking cues from the family's preferences and routines in order to confidently take ownership of new systems and responsibilities. Specifically, we'd love a take-initiative powerhouse to support us with meal prep (simple, fresh and batch cooking), light after-school child care support, and managing overall household systems and tasks. Coachable and purpose-driven, you have a big heart, understand the importance of family, and bring warmth, high emotional intelligence, and exceptional professionalism to your work environment. You have excellent time-management skills and naturally anticipate needs, helping create an environment where the family feels genuinely supported, rather than needing to manage or delegate details or tasks. You love working with families and are able to step in during busy times and schedule shifts, and feel comfortable amidst a private family home environment. Key Responsibilities Meal Support Prep fresh, healthy meals and snacks 4 days per week for the entire family, including support for kids' lunch prep, with some family favorites including simple Italian pastas and Mexican food Wash, chop, and prep fruits and vegetables for easy grab and go Batch cook and collaborate with the family on weekly meal planning Prep school lunches 4 days/week (Monday-Thursday) Grocery shopping and unpacking Kitchen clean-up and maintenance Family Support School pick-ups Monday through Thursday (2:00 PM Mondays, 3:00 PM other days) Light supervision (back-up childcare support) as needed Assist with homework and snack prep after school Prep backpacks, clothing, and snacks Varying evening support for sports activities Kid-related errands as needed Household Organization & Maintenance Create and maintain household organization systems Daily resets and prep home for cleaners (who come Mondays and Fridays) Light tidying: dishes, surfaces, vacuum high-traffic areas Seasonal swaps of clothing, décor, and bedding as needed Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs Unpacking/laundry after travel Care for a few indoor plants Change batteries, light bulbs, smoke detectors, etc. Inventory & Errands Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies Manage running household supply lists Manage household orders and subscriptions (Amazon, Costco, Target) Returns, dry cleaning, and occasional gift shopping Mail and package handling Break down boxes Laundry & Linens Wash, fold, and organize laundry Linen rotation Maintain tidy and well-stocked laundry areas Deep Cleaning & Special Projects Occasional deep cleans (fridge, oven, baseboards) Seasonal cleaning of humidifiers Organizational projects for toys, sports gear, and storage areas Vehicle Upkeep Weekly reset and cleaning of family vehicle Vendor & Property Oversight (as needed) Oversee cleaners, contractors, and landscapers Research and coordinate repairs and quotes Light seasonal property maintenance Manage outdoor spaces Administrative & Personal Assistant Support Travel planning and logistics Calendar management, including household and activity schedules Event and appointment coordination How to Apply Please submit a cover letter, updated resume, and contact information for 3 professional references.
