In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily restaurant operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and support the management team in maintaining a smooth and efficient dining experience. Your leadership will inspire staff, uphold food safety standards, and drive operational excellence to create memorable experiences for our guests. Responsibilities Supervise front-of-house staff during shifts, ensuring high standards of customer service, food quality, and cleanliness are maintained at all times. Assist in training and mentoring team members on food preparation, POS systems (such as Aloha POS and Micros POS), and food handling procedures to promote a knowledgeable and efficient team. Manage shift operations including cash handling, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Support the management team in supervising restaurant activities, including managing reservations, seating arrangements, and coordinating with kitchen staff for timely food production. Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure guests have an outstanding dining experience. Assist with managing budgets, analyzing profit and loss reports, and implementing cost-control measures to maximize profitability. Lead by example in fostering a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, and ensuring staff training & development are prioritized. Requirements Proven experience in restaurant environments or casual dining settings with a strong background in food preparation or food service management. Demonstrated supervisory or assistant manager experience with a focus on team leadership and staff training. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling experience is essential. Knowledge of food safety management practices and compliance with health regulations. Strong organizational skills including inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally. Experience in managing hospitality teams within diverse settings such as hotel restaurants or banquet facilities is highly desirable. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support restaurant operations.
